New Mexico is home to 22 tribal communities that include the 19 Pueblos, Jicarilla Apache, Mescalero Apache and Navajo Nation.  

The 19 New Mexico Pueblos share five different languages, including, Tewa, Towa, Tiwa, Keres, and Zuni.  Both Zuni Pueblo (Zuni) and Jemez Pueblo (Towa) speak their own language, with the remaining 17 Pueblo sharing Tewa, Keres, and Tiwa.
