The Leadership Institute held their 2013 Community Service Project Presentation & Graduation of SPA I at Route 66 Casino Hotel on July 5th, starting at 5:00pm.

Mr. Regis Pecos, Co - Director of the Leadership Institute opened the evenings events with the Welcome and Introductions, followed by the overview of Leadership Institute-Summer Policy Academy and the Student Curriculum Focus-aligned with 10 Topics of the Pueblo Convocation. Shannon Douma a staff member of SPA I program, covered the overview and the Highlights of the summer program.

Dinner was served at 6:00pm by the Route 66 Casino catering staff. After dinner the 2013 Recipients for New Mexico Native American Community Based Intermediary with funding from the W.K. Kellogg Foundations were annouced and introduced during this time.

Followed by the the 2013 SPA I Student Community Service Project Presentations, along with Student Recognition, Awards and gifts which were presented by the Leadership Institute and SPA I Staff.

The whole event was a huge success full of joy, high spirits, and the beginnings of a new group of amazing young leaders ready to contribute to their communities
